The Connection: Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework: Ages Birth to Five and WIDA Early English Language Development Standards

The WIDA Early English Language Development (E-ELD) Standards were developed to identify and support language acquisition for children at ages 2.5–5.5 years whose home languages include a language other than English. This resource provides guidance for using the WIDA E-ELD Standards and Framework in early care and education settings, including but not limited to Early Head Start and Head Start programs, that serve dual language learners.
