This resource is an online gateway into the Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment (GLOBE) program, providing specific support for educators on the alignment and implementation of the standards using GLOBE. The webinars offer guidance for organizations, trainers, teachers, and partners on the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and the conceptual shifts that highlight the innovations of the NGSS—mainly the Performance Expectations, Cross Cutting Concepts, Disciplinary Core Ideas, and Science and Engineering Practices—as they apply to the context and practices within the GLOBE program.
This resource offers eight webinar presentations addressing the alignment between the NGSS and GLOBE for different stakeholders and participants in the GLOBE program. The videos run between 20 minutes and nearly an hour, depending on the topic. Several of the webinars are readily available on YouTube; webinars #6 and #8 require registration in order to access the archived recordings. Webinar #2 does not have an active link at the time of this review.
