This resource is a practical starting point for administrators and educators wishing to create transition materials for newcomer English learners. The suggestions provided by the authors can be adapted by teachers and school leaders for a variety of classrooms. The authors use very little jargon when explaining the resources and provide illustrated, ready-to-use materials for welcoming newcomer students into schools. Suggestions for increasing accessibility for newcomer English learners is very timely and highly relevant to school improvement efforts.
